Centre Regionaux Operationels de Surveillance et de Sauvetage(CROSS). France has five MRCC's for it's European coasts. CROSS provides a permanent, full time, all weather operational presence along the coast of France and cooperates with foreign MRCC's and MRSC's as required. MRCC Gris Nez has been designated as the initial point of contact for international SAR authorities for any question concerning operational aspects of maritime SAR and when France is involved in an incident where a particular French MRCC is not clearly competent to deal with it. - MRCC Gris Nez has also been designated as the MRCC associated with the French COSPAS-SARSAT Mission Control Centre (FMCC) and the Inmarsat LES.SAR Contact Information Incorrect?
