Korea Coast Guard (KCG) co-ordinates search and rescue operations. There are 13 regional coast guards, which operate SAR command centres on a 24 hr basis. A continuous listening watch is maintained on international distress frequencies on VHF, MF and DSC. Preferred inter RCC languages are English, Japanese and Chinese. - -
