JRCC UK is the UK's national maritime command and control centre and should be contacted by other MRCCs/RCCs whenever contact is required with the UK. The United Kingdom operates a single network of operations centres and integrated maritime radio infrastructure, all data and communications being available to every officer on duty. If operationally required, all Rescue Coordination Centres (RCCs) can temporarily extend or contract the area that is normally covered which might occur during busy periods, training or because of incident working.
